Registration

Q: Do I have to register to use the site?
A: No. You can browse and search profiles without registering. However to use features like messaging, auditions / casting calls you will be asked to login to your account, and by having your profile with your best pics and detailed info, you increase your chances of being picked by Agencies, Casting Directors & Industry professionals.

Creating and Managing Your Profile

Q: Do I Have to Register to Create a profile?
A: Yes. You must be a registered user to create a profile. Basic registration is free.

Q: What Category Should I Put My profile In?
A: Choose the most appropriate category for you field of talent.

How do I post a picture to my profile?

The standard method for uploading a picture to your portfolio is outlined below.
Click on My Home on the main menu.
Click the Upload Photos link in the pictures section.
To select a photo from your hard drive or a disk, click the Browse button and select an image.
Once you have selected an image from your computer and it has appeared in the File Name text box, click Upload.
You can add up to 10 photos by following this procedure and uploading images one at a time.

What kinds of pictures are best?
Any picture of just you that people see your face clearly is great. It is also a good idea to include something that shows you from the knees up.

TalentHunter may reject:
Pictures that include anyone other than you.
Pictures that are obscene or offensive. Pictures that contain nudity. Pictures that are dark.
Pictures that are fuzzy.

Agents, Casting Directors, and Photographers

Q: How do I use the site?
A: Create a Gold account by going to registration page, login, and you will have full access to the site.

Q: How do I contact a TalentHunter member?
A: Once your logged in to your Gold account, you will get several options to contact a TalentHunter member.

Privacy

Q: I don't want my address, phone number or email address to appear on your site. Should I be concerned?
A: We do not display personal information on our site to protect the safety of our community. And we also don't share this info with third party groups.

Q: If all my information is private how can someone contact me?
A: When your profile is selected, they will be able to contact you by selecting "send message", and you will receive the message in your TalentHunter inbox without the sender seeing your private information.

How do I find Auditions?

To find auditions, make sure you have a Gold membership, click on Auditions on the main menu on the left side. Use the "Show all auditions" option to view all auditions. Majority of auditions are in the U.S. If you select a different country and there are no auditions in that region the system will prompt you upgrade your membership, in this case go back and select another country. To apply for a casting, click on the audition, then follow the instructions on how to submit to that casting.

Who can I message? Who can message me?

All Gold members can send and receive messages from anyone on TalentHunter. Messages will appear in the INBOX and OUTBOX sections of the Contact Manager page unless the user sent the message directly to your EMAIL through. To see them, just click on Contact Manager on the myhome page. Casting directors and photographers will also be able to message you with casting opportunities.

How do I improve my chances of getting a job?

First of all, utilize all of TalentHunter's services. Put up clear pictures of yourself in your portfolio and keep your profile updated, then apply to as many auditions as you can. People who apply to several auditions every week have a much higher chance of finding work than people who only apply to one or two. Perseverance is key!
